Polyester pleated sediment cartridges are designed for high-performance particulate reduction in residential, commercial, and industrial water treatment applications. The cartridge utilizes a non-woven polyester filtration media that is precision-pleated around a rigid polypropylene core to provide mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and consistent filtration performance throughout the service life.

The pleated construction increases effective surface area, resulting in higher dirt-holding capacity, reduced pressure drop, and extended cartridge life compared to depth-filter alternatives. The polyester media offers excellent chemical compatibility and is suitable for use in a wide range of processes, providing mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and consistent filtration performance throughout its use, potable water, food, and beverage applications.

Product Advantages

  • Cost-effective filtration for high-volume applications

  • Excellent chemical resistance to common water treatment chemicals

  • Food-grade construction suitable for beverage and potable water use

  • No media migration for stable and reliable performance

  • High dirt-loading capability with extended service life

  • Available in multiple industry-standard lengths

  • Nominal 5-micron filtration rating

Typical Applications

  • Prefiltration for RO and membrane systems

Typical Micron Ranges

Micron Rating                    Typical use

50μm                                     Large particles like sand or grit

20μm~10μm                      Fine sand, rust Particles

5μm                                      Common general-purpose sediment filtration

1μm                                      Very fine sediment; can trap silt and some                                                         microorganisms

Buying Tips

✅ Match micron rating to water quality: For sandy or gritty well water, start with a larger micron and step down to finer filters.
✅ For whole-house systems, consider staging: A coarse pre-filter → finer sediment → carbon or RO.
✅ Reusable filters save money long term: Spin-down filters that flush are cheaper over time.
